We're thrilled to announce a brand-new offering here at Wandarra Homestead: Team Retreats! We've always loved welcoming guests to our little slice of country heaven, and now we're excited to open our doors to small businesses and teams looking for a unique and inspiring offsite experience. But this isn't just about offering a beautiful space; it's about solving a problem I personally encountered for years.

A PERSONAL JOURNEY

As a former team manager myself, I understand the importance of regular team offsites. Getting away from the daily grind, fostering stronger connections, and strategising in a relaxed environment can do wonders for engagement and team dynamics. But finding the right venue was always a challenge.

Self-contained rentals are appealing because of the privacy and great amenities. Hotels can feel too big and impersonal for smaller teams. However, a persistent worry lingered: how would I manage the logistics and organisation myself, on top of everything else I had going on at work, without the support of a hotel's event staff?

One offsite I organised has been a source of much laughter since, but when it was happening I was horrified. The venue looked nothing like the brochure and website pictures. I'll never forget walking into a run down meeting room with mismatched chairs, broken blinds and a faulty projector. All because I was trying to find a retreat space set in the great outdoors that also offered an events team to help me plan!
